Learning From My Wagering Failures

First to explain why I write this article. I have been wagering on the internet or at land based betting houses for many years. I have learned, the dependency can grab a hold of you and you will not even notice it until you are broke. Particularly if you’re on a winning run. I’ve gone through many thousands of dollars in a very short amount of time and still on occasion, I’ll go a bit too far. It seems you’re just having fun until you start to track your loss and the guilt sets in, and then you continue to tell yourself "I can earn it back" repeatedly. It never works. Then you feel queasy in your belly and the harder you attempt the quicker you are deprived.

When you notice that you are up, STAY on the UP! When you start to lose, don’t tell yourself, "well perhaps one more" and again and again, believe me, this method hardly ever functions. Say you are betting on slots, have a bankroll set aside before beginning your play. Don’t go over that limit, regardless how captivating. If you happen to succeed, put that in a different pot. Do not risk your wins no matter what. Once you’ve played through your original set limit, stop. Head out, regardless if it is on the internet or at a land based betting house, don’t stay around. Always keep in mind, there is going to be another day, a different time.

Remember, wagering is assumed to be exciting not backbreaking, nauseating work! If you aren’t having fun yourself, you don’t belong there. If youcannot manage the loss, don’t even start.
